Definitely. Of all the orchids I've grown, my paphs are the only ones that seem to be able to handle any conditions Florida throws at them. They're also the only plants that I keep outside year-round, since the winter cold fronts don't faze them.

Default Nice new baby!

You are indeed lucky. I go to Lowes frequently and I have never seen anything like that plant there. I can't say the same about Trader Joe's. The always seem to have sever Phaphs. I just bought two the other day. Anyway good luck with your new baby.

Yes, I did. Looked them up online but get kind of cyclic redundencies when trying to get more info on them. Obviously a hugh outfit though.

They are here in Arcadia, Fl and are managed by Robert Palmer of Palmer's Orchids in Myakka City. They recently took over some space in Apopka where they are growing mostly Phals. The operation in Arcadia is huge, I think I was told at some point that at any given moment they have over 2 million plants on hand at all different stages of growth.

Thanks for that info. I recently visited Odoms orchid greenhouses in Ft Pierce which I thought was a huge place...mostly Catts. But Rob, the mgr. told me even though they're one of if not the largest reatail orchid business in the country, they are small compared to some of the wholesale outfits operating in Orlando and Homestead.
