Its finally colored up, although my camera doesn't capture the yellow as much a I would like. First bloom for this guy ...

That's nice Gloria, I really like the squared off look on the wings. How long has it been open? I was wondering if the dorsal will straighten up some more, or is that a trait of the species.

It could lift abit more for the next bloom, but yes it is a commen trait for this paph to have be hooded or roofed.
This paph looks very cool in person, its a must see
I beleive its been open for about 4 days now. The color first seen is green, its nice too. I noticed that the slipper didn't open more then half way until the color turned yellow, then it open right up. I've been use to the other way around - For many the slipper opens then the colors set in.
This is an easy and fast grower (IMHO)
