yes, can confirm that at least the growing bud is quite black (and hairy, love that about the paphs!). thought it deserved a high quality pic to show the colors. note that the image is as true to actual color as possible, with no post processing for hue or saturation. in bright light, it does take on more of a dark amber/brown hue, but in shade it is truely black! love this one!!
