Cypripedium species sources. Male
Default Cypripedium species sources.

I was wondeing if anyone knew where I could obtain LEGAL sources of natural Canadian Cypripediums. I have just thought of this, and the idea of growing natural and local orchid species in my backyard is a very fun and interesting idea, any help would be awesome!

I stumbled across this website and was quite impressed - I have not yet ordered from them but would be interested to know what the quality is like. They are located in British Columbia and have an interesting selection...

there are several labs that sell them from 1 and 2 year old seedlings but I lost my list of sites when My computer crashed ....thimble farms is one of the higher priced ones....

Just remember you have to order these in fall when they are dormant ....and they are often backordered ...

TheBlazingAugust, there was a seller right in Saskatoon. I am trying to find the info and will let you know if and when I can find their website again.

Garden Slippers
Here is one in Alberta but am still looking for the Saskatoon one. I think it used to be listed under the Canadian Orchid vendors list. Also maybe a link from our society website, but it appears down at the moment.

SLS MANUFACTURERS INC
I found it!. Above is the link to the Saskatoon company who sells cypridiums. Also, Dutch growers and possibly several other garden centres have sold them in spring, but they are limited and you have to grab one up fast.
