Default Phrag old bloom spikes

My Phrag Court Jester finished blooming more than a month ago but the bloom stem is still green. I'm wondering if I should be cutting it off now or waiting until it turns brown. Any advice, please?

It won't bloom again from the old spike Shirley so go ahead and cut it if you like. It won't hurt anything.

Here's a photo, Gloria. Thanks for asking! I was aware that phrags don't bloom a second time on the same spike but had the impression that some growers don't like to cut the stems off until they've turned brown. It's done now!!

Shirley, I find this one graceful looking - so beautiful
Sometimes its just better to wait things out til you know there habits. Letting them go along time can form seeds pods, kinda zaps the energy out of them.

Thanks for sharing that photo ... Gorgeous phrag for sure!

gorgeous blooms!
I'm one who usually waits for spikes to be brown and dead before cutting - just how I am ...

I have a Mtssa with a still green spike from blooms a year ago ... don't know why it's still green ...
