Yvan, it's gorgeous! I like the coloring on yours much better than some others I have seen. Has this one taken over your apartment yet?

I love Phrags, too and that one is exceptional.

Since I'm a chronic overwaterer (I've put most chids into S/H to save thier lives ) I do wonderful with Phrags. Got several new shoots on a couple of mine.

Thanks all! Yeah, this guy kinda knocks my socks off. It had a rough first year in my care, came to me in a wretched state. So was doubly happy it seems to have finally bounced back.

@Terri & Tracy: Unfortunately, I still won't be getting any more Phrags at this size even though I really love them. I had to move this one from its usual growing spot once it started spiking. And now that it has started growing a third fan, am afraid I will REALLY have to reconsider where it should go.

Beautifull! Great growing!
can you pls tell a little about your growing area / conditions of your phrags? I still can't find the best watering method for phrags, and wheather to let them sit in water or not.
thanks for sharing!

Thanks ewica!

Vina—Perfectly willing to share, although my conditions are I'm sure really not ideal at all. So take with a grain of salt. This is the only Phrag I have, and it has actually been grown under a compact fluorescent light, 105 watts. Almost constant air movement, temps which get as low as 55 F in the winter and as high as 85–90 F in the summer, humidity always somewhere between 50%–70%. I have it potted in sphagnum moss in a plastic pot, and only water when the top of the moss is completely dry (almost crunchy). For me, that translates into usually about twice a week, sometimes three times a week in intense summer heat.

Hope that is at least somewhat helpful! Good luck!

Yvan, Ewcia, thanks a lot!
I have only 4 phrags, but it seems this is not the end of list.
