Thanks Ray..yessssss...did not see that part of the post, was posting and or walked away from the puter in reply mode ..."Raven Maniac"...that's what I was when I saw the bloom, dang it drives my family crazy.

Tindo I bought in bud and it bloomed for 1 month...not sure that's short or the duration of this particular paph

That is one stunning paph, Cheryl. Love the shinny surface and the colours. What does the foilage look like? I guess that always inportant to me since that is what your stuck with most of the time.

Paph's should stay in bloom for around 6 to 8 weeks, especially if kept watered and the humidity up. Don't water paphs at night or if you do make sure it's warm and bright, so it can dry off before it goes to bed. They like to be repoted after they flower too, although I have let mine go almost 2 years if in medium bark mix. They should flower twice in a year or a little better, depending. OK, stepping off the soap box now.

This is my first bloom so hopefully it will keep take the regimen of blooming twice a year. The leaves are strong and multi-color, never been repotted, not sure if I will this year or not, time will tell. Here it is with in full bloom.
