Yeah...too bad, right. A mini-Phrag would be quite a hot seller!

indeed an odd flower shape for Jason Fischer... it reminds me actually of Mem. Dick Clements Orchid of the Week Library: Phrag. Mem. Dick Clements or any of the redder clones of Andean Fire (some clones are more pinky )

Wow, looks like lipstick color! I'm in love with Jason Fischer now lol, but still I'd like a lot of suggestion before making any move
If you have picture of the plant(s) it's even better, just so I can estimate the size of it.

A well grown Phrag Jason Fischer is a good sized plant and certainly not a windowsill item. They are fairly compact when immature and they don't show their potential until they get pretty large.

Plants like Phrag Barbara LeAnn or Phrag Hanne Popow are much more compact but not quite as spectacular.

Ooo...those are some beautiful ones, Phantasm. I actually really love the softer pink Phrags. What are you meaning by "compact"? It's a reason I too haven't gone too far into Phrags. Space space space...

hmmm...Phrag. Fox Valley Fireball has Barbara LeAnn as one of the parent, what do you think? Will it make the size smaller on those guys?
What do I mean by compact? I mean a plant that doesn't take too much room to grow despite its size... in short, plants that shouldn't grow too tall or too wide spreaded. I guess lol.... In case of phrag, I want the leaf to grow more vertically, and the spike shouldn't be too long, I sound too picky

Not so picky. I have the same space consdierations myself. So, I get compact as a concept. I was actually asking Phantasm what compact might mean size-wise in the world of Phrags. Perhaps in terms of leaf-span?

Especially since I think Barbara LeAnn & Hanne Popow should be on my wish list!

Jason Fischer at slippertalk recommended Phrag. Ryoko Urabe (Barbara LeAnn x fischeri) as one of the smaller Phrags with good coloration.
Here's the link that he recommended
Orchid of the Week Library: Phrag. Ryoko Urabe
I'm still curious about the Fox Valley Fireball (Barbara LeAnn x Rosalie Dixler) though, lol more info needed I think it should be compact since both parents are compact, if that is true, then I'm definitely a goner for this one.
Also, Phrag. Barbara LeAnn sounds like a good option, but the color varies a lot, it's like a gambling game, hoping that I will get the red one lol....

By compact, I was referring to the plant size. I have a plant of Phrag Ryoko Urabe and it is very small since it is 3/4 Phrag fischeri. Any plant that is mostly besseae, schlimii and/or fischerii will be pretty small. If you add in longifolium or sargentianum the plant size and vigor increases quite a bit.
