I recently re-acquired this plant after losing my old one.

Nice. I just purchased one from Orchid Limited, hope the color is as stunning as yours.

That's a beauty. The color combination is quite appealing. Would you mind elaborating on why you believe that it's a little tricky to grow? I know that it's advertised as being warmth tolerant, but in your experience are warm temperatures necessary, or can it be grown alongside cooler-growing cymbidiums?

Milton Carpenter did a lot to bring respectable size and color to warmth-tolerant cymbidiums.
Bayard - I think it's odd you find it tricky to grow. How so? I put min in S/H and it's doing great.

smweaver & ray - "Tricky to grow" may not have been the best description of the trouble I had with It. I could not get more than one growth going at a time. I wanted a pot full of pseudobulbs and multiple inflorescences like other Cymbidiums I'd seen. Maybe it wants more warmth than I can provide in order to do that.
