Grammatophyllum scriptum var. citrinum
Ok, this is true "monster". I got this plant some 3 years ago, it was only 2 pseudobulbs, 1 spike. I did pot it into the iron basket, and this is what I have in 3 years, over 10 pseudobulbs, 5 spikes, and new growths starting everywhere. Unfortunately I will have to separate this after the bloom, my balcony can't hold this monster anymore, and the speed of growing! Direct sun, lots and lots of water and fertilizing, and protecting from temps under 50F.

Ordphien I was so thinking about it, I have to research how do they grow in situ and will try one piece for sure!

Wow, that is beautiful. Sounds like it's trying to take over the whole balcony. It will look great in the dog park.

That is very lovely!!! Yeah, it is such a water hog and sun lover! So happy for you! I used to have one, but newbie me did not understand then..now I know better. Will surely try it again one of these days!

So true, the good thing is, hardly ever you can over water this baby! And once you figure out how to grow them,they d grow to monsters and bloom every year :-)
