Hi, I've attempted to grow orchids for some time with little success. My downfall is over watering. I struck again with a cymbidium. I had mistakenly potted it in leca before it had new root growth. I have since removed dead roots, soaked it in root hormone, and repotted it in bark. What else can I do to salvage my kiwi midnight?
I haven't grown this hybrid, but Cyms are generally quite resilient
I'd probably keep it out of strong light til there is some new growth with roots. Keep the potting media lightly moist.
I agree with the comments above. Cyms are pretty resilient and if you are in the northern hemisphere you will soon be moving in to the time they tend to really get going on root (and other) growth.
I'm going to move this to the Cym area in the hope your question get's spotted my some of the experts there.
