I really like this species. It does very well here and seems to flower more than once a year. Plants are much smaller and easier to manage then finlaysonianum. Pics of one plant flowering...

I also like such 'stiff-leaved' cymbidiums. But they are seldom grown except the species, Cymbidium pendulum.

Seldom grown in Taiwan or seldom grown in general? You don't see them often here apart from finlaysonianum. I like them a lot to especially here in the subtropics they grow really well and flower very good. You can even grow them as a garden plant here in a tree.

thanks i'll get a another pic before I pollinate the flowers with a sibling plant here. I like the species alot so i'm going to set a pod to get more of the same species This plant was grow from a flask that I obtained a few years back. All the seedlings producing rather identical and uniform flowers. I can't really notice any differences in colour or flower shape/form between the siblings.

As i know, some of these cymbidiums had been imported decades ago as outdoor plants. But people here in Taiwan like chinese cymbidiums more then these stiff ones. Therefore, they were seldom grown here in Taiwan.
