I don't grow any of the variegated forms, mostly the wild type, though I do have a few of the colored/odd forms. At any rate, it's a good warning; I'll follow up with my judging friends that were at the show to see if they have any more info.

I saw that one of our displays had some of the orchids in glass cases. Maybe that is how it should be displayed so that it isn't so easy to be snatched. It makes me angry that people would steal from a display.

I would not be a bit surprised; if in three to five years from now, that you will start seeing them for sale in some Asian dealer’s hands in two or three other counties.
