I'm not an expert but I think you placed the new growths too close to the edge of the pot. In this case you have 2 new pseudobulbs I would have place the plant in the middle of the pot to allow room for new growths for the next 2-3 years.
Orchids3. I totally agree with you on cutting the roots to 2". If this was not done and a resulting pot full of old broken roots is the result, I definitely would repot doing it correctly, even a month after the fact.
Keep on the dry side for several weeks after repotting.
Thank you, I just re-did the potting for my Cymbidium. I cut the roots down to about 2-3 inches. Now its in a shady location and this time I didnt water it.
Is it the same rules for re-potting a miniature Chinese Cymbidium as far as cutting roots goes?
