lovely Sue! gorgeous color!

Terri - I don't know what your temps are ? but they do well in California, daytime summer temps here are frequently in the 90s, with occasional spells over 100.
I'm in the bay area, so temps always drop a good deal at night tho. I don't know if you are near enough to the coast to get that, or if it is needed.
Mine get full sun til early afternoon. If it's really hot I mist them and wet the ground around them in the afternoon (no longer in direct sun).

Terri, what you need to do is to look for varieties that are warmth tolerant. I too live in Central Florida where summer night lows are in the mid seventies and highs in the mid nineties every day from about June to October but I still bloom several Cymbidiums.

Unfortunately the flip side to my too hot in summer is too cold in winter. We often get snow for a few weeks. This last winter we were down in the teens for a good 2 weeks.
