When I have seen this hybrid at shows (I don't own one, with good reason) they have tended to be enormous. So may need to get even bigger! Here's hoping that you're getting close! It looks quite happy. Looked up its award history to guess bloom time. Suspect the April/May timeframe, could be earlier, though, I think that the one I saw at our local show years back was in February.

If you do decide to go bigger, my dad used whiskey/whisky barrel halves.

Edit: probably wine barrels since we're in California.

Congratulations!

That spike is the beefiest spike I’ve ever seen on an orchid. Wow!

RJSquirrel, you have an amazing climate for orchids or you are a magician! Probably the latter.

I almost wish I lived in the US...

I have a hogwarts wand I keep handy.

Texas isnt all bad in fact its rather inviting for most orchids. About 3 months out of the year (with ni growhouse or greenhouse) you have to molly coddle them outside to inside to outside. But I thinks overall its been rather selfishly rewarding

like its going to freeze maybe outside so got to drag this in . its getting a bit much for an old man with cats that are of no help. strap some harness's on them and make em useful
