If the pot is water-permeable it's also root-permeable. You won't be able to extricate it. You'll need to borrow an engine lift to pick it up and set the whole thing into a bigger pot. I would be very happy for any piece that falls off!

Correct on all counts. The plant will take over this pot and be placed into the next size container, 45”
I will have several people assist lol
And ES, I wasn’t kidding, I will be sending you a nice chunk, you pay freight.
That pack rat story made me so mad. Plus I enjoy your Florida roots and fantastic contributions to everyone’s threads!!
I wish I could just come over with my air gun.

UPDATE:
since mid april the sun has shifted and the rains have come....this suits Flava very well.
the new growths are BANGING and have grown 8-14"

the roots are LOVING the set up...here is a good shot of these roots, they grow up and then branch out to trap leaf litter and get moisture of course.
this is all new root as this medium was added when i planted her...so this root has gone through at least 5" of LECA and rock I love orchid roots!

I am curious about the dry winter and i am going to water her throughout but judiciously and to make sure she is not wet if it is cold

A St. Bernard puppy... It's loving south Florida!
Note from the Baker culture sheet: "A very large, usually up to 118 in. (300 cm) epiphyte or lithophyte, plants are known to reach 827 in. [69 ft.] (2100 cm)."
