I know, it's a bit confusing, but that's life
Your image is perfect send it over!
In the case of resolution and dpi more is always better than less. You can always shrink a photo, but you can't enlarge it from a smaller one.
When enlarging, You can't make 100 pixels from 20 pixels and expect it to look as good (where are the 80 pixels supposed to come from???)
Back to the apple example... Hypothetically, if I have an image of an apple consisting of 20 pixels and I enlarge it to 100 pixels, it will look like this
Conversely, if I have 300 pixel image and I want to shrink it down to 100 pixels, you'll notice a much crisper and detailed image, because we no longer have to 'invent' pixels that don't exist.
I want to make sure we produce the best calendar possible, so that's why I'm being a stickler here with the resolution/dpi business. For most part, it's always advisable to shoot at the highest resolution your camera will allow. If you do that, chances are your image is more then good enough to be printed.
