The orchids in the genus Pholidota do bloom from new growths just like the picture you posted.
As with all orchids, not every growth will produce flowers. It can, but it might not. I'd wait for spikes to start counting your chickens.

But not all orchids produce a flower spike at the beginning of the new growths cycle 😉
Three months down the road the new growths are still forming along with there flower spikes! Only had one flower spike get stuck underneath a leaf and it didn't make it. So 4/5 spikes are still health and growing so that's good for me... hopefully they'll bloom before another three months pass🤧

Thanks for the information. I picked up a Coelogyne last spring from one of my Bromeliad Society plant sales. It has been growing in the same medium since I got it. It is now time for me to mimic the conditions that you are offering to your plant.

Wow that's awesome would love to see a photo!
I give it lots of water, bright shade, and zero... I REPEAT ZERO fertilizer
I really should post a more updated photo, I think the flowers will be blooming within the next few weeks!

Beautiful! Does it have any fragrance? I have a Coelogyne Unchained Melody that came in the Ray haul. It flowers from mature growths and produced 8 spikes out of 9 new growths last winter. This year it has 20+ new growths so it could be quite a show!

This is my first Coelogyne type and was kind of skeptical at first but I've learned to love this little guy!
There's no scent unfortunately but that doesn't change how I feel about the plant! Wow 20 spikes sounds amazing

Here's some better photos that I took this morning!
More of the spikes are opening and the growths are maturing, which is making the plant really fill out!
