This is bought in bloom recently.
It looks like a giant version of my little Unchained Melody except it has orange coloration on the lip and the scent is much more bearable. quite strange, the scent tends to be stronger at night. hmmm.

The flowers are slowly fading, but there is one more pointy structure, which might turn into a growth or a spike. excited to find out.

Any one growing this variety???

I am growing this but that is all I am doing...no blooms yet. I have had it a little over a year soooo guess it may be awhile yet.
Hopefully when it does bloom it will be as nice as yours...Jean

You will like it. I was afraid at first as I heard so much about how they are cool growing and all, but my little Unchained Melody survived through the summer in the oven hot apartment and made two spikes, one of which I accidently broke off.

I hope this big one will also be easy to grow and bloom. hoping for some hybrid vigor.

Cool yeah, I figured it was a good choice temperature-wise. Tolerating daytime heat in summer, happy with the chill in winter ... I was very happy to find this one Hope I do well by it!

I think it will definitely grow well for you!
Does the summer night stay warm or drop significantly? I guess depends on the area. I remember west coast being dry, day was very warm or hot and then it got really cool at night even in the summer.

Then, it will do really well. My apartment gets really hot day and night in the summer and although everyone survived last year, a greater diurnal temperature difference will really help.
This year, I will use AC quite a bit.
