Coelogyne cristata
Large plant but I can't get more than 2 or 3 flowers a year. I give it bright light and a dry rest in winter but nothing......it should be covered. Anyway here is this years meagre offering.

Nice flowers ![Smile](https://www.orchidboard.com/community/images/smilies/new/smile.gif)
I hope you figure out what the problem is so you can get more blooms. I have a few orchids like that which refuse to bloom/ make more blooms even though I'm giving the right care....

I don't have a cristata yet (my avatar was taking at Montreal Botanical Garden), but I know that it not only needs a dry rest in winter but also a temperature drop to flower to a maximum. Maybe that's why?

Hi, it gets down to freezing here in winter and I grow it outside but under a roof to protect from frost. I think it gets the right cool down and the right dry period but it still doesn't flower well. I suspect that's why the person sold it to me.......

Maybe... If I ever get to talk with the horticulturist of the botanical garden, I'll ask them how they manage to get so much flowers out of theirs ![Wink](https://www.orchidboard.com/community/images/smilies/icon_wink.gif)

I asked them yesterday how they did and they told me that they simply put it at 12~13°C in the winter, so I guess it doesn't really help you, sorry.
