Actually, I lost mine two years ago (well, it's now 2021 so it makes three years ago...I suppose!) due to fungal infection and subsequent dehydration while trying to save what's left of it (mostly due to my stupidity, if you ask me). This one is the replacement I bought this summer so I cannot take full credit for the bloom.
It has somewhat bigger flowers than my previous plant.
Also, the flower color is a bit more brownish.
The individual flowers of Coel. assamica usually face upward from a gracefully arching inflorescence.
One very interesting feature of this species is the presence of nectar glands on the surface of lip. Can you see the droplets of sugary nectar on the lip? It taste delicious by the way.
Also, it has very nice and sweet, licorice-like scent. It is not far-traveling but quite strong when one is near.
