There are several hybrids with walkeriana in the background that maintain the separate bloom spike habit. Lc. Mini Purple can be one of those. Here is a post showing the habit: Lc. Mini Purple

It's hard to tell in the pic...but, I believe you. I'm pretty sure mine bloomed like a typical catt...interesting to learn some inherited the walk trait. Thanks for the info!

Thanks Steve and Katrina! I am learning a lot. Katrina, it is hard to tell from the picture. I think Leafmite still has one maybe they'll chime in.

Click on the pic and and it will take you to Mel's Flickr site. You can see the growth on the farthest right flower. Just like walkeriana! There are a few crosses that seem to retain this trait.

I have a mini purple 'Blue Hawaii' and mine blooms like a regular Catt. It has bloomed 3 or 4 times for me but never more than one bloom at a time, Yet. I'm hoping for better at some point. It has allot of growths and it needs re-potting. I don't want to divide it up and have been having a hard time finding a pot just right. So I was at the grocery store the other day and they had a small colander so I got it and think I'm going to put it in there. I can never find a pot that is large enough around the top but not so deep.
Subrosa, doing good. I can't believe it smells already.

Looks like these are about as open as they're going to get. And sadly the bud on the 2nd spike blasted:

lmao!
Congrats on the bloom! Unfortunately I never smelled any fragrance on mine which leads me to still worry about the possibility of it being a hybrid lol

The fragrance is truly wonderful on this one. Definitely has notes of hyacinth and vanilla with something else I can't put my finger on.
