This little flower is a selfing of 'One Fine Day', and much to my surprise (and delight), she's sporting a few spots! The bloom opened today, and in honor of the total lunar eclipse that's happening as I write this, I've nicknamed her 'Red Moon'. I can't wait to see how the other plants of this cross that I got bloom out.
I searched RHS and found the reason for the spots: Slc Precious Jewel (now just Sc) has C. aclandiae in its ancestry, just two generations ago! 25% of aclandiae! You can wait for more suprises!
