Cattleya bicolor var. punctata-albescens
We, as orchid lovers, love the regular of the species, but also and especially everything that is different! Blooming out in my grh is this unusual spotted, green Cattleya bicolor with an almost white lip. The actual color of the lip is a very light rose, almost white, far distant from the regular purple of the species. I'm posting below a montage showing it side by side with the type so that we can check out the differences. Ah! Almost forgot: it is perfumed too!

How to make a choice between the two? I'll take one of each! It's hard to beat a bicolor of any color.

Oooo! I love the first one! Something about green orchids just floats my boat! If it ever needs a new home... ! I gotta add that to my mile long want list.
