Selmo, does this always bloom at this time of year? Brassavola/Rhyncholaelia glauca blooms in the spring, and Cattleya/Guarianthe aurantiaca blooms in late fall to early winter.

There was a glauca at our orchid meeting a week ago and it had tons of blooms on it.

I just got a Catt/Guarianthe aurantiaca this summer. It had sheaths on 2 new growths when I got it. One even turned brown and dried and I could not feel anything going on inside. Now after several months they both have blooms inside of them if I don't blast them. So maybe they bloom at different times, mine is a 'Mishima Spots' x 'SVO Spots 2'. I got it from Fred Clark of course.
