Cattleya dormaniana 'Kiss Me'
This is the second time this plant has bloomed for me in 8 years... It's a tough one to grow but I persevere through this time to find the best culture for it (moving it around different locations). I named her 'Kiss Me' because they look like lipstick lips ☺️.
Light: 60% or medium high; shade from too much light or heat. About 2 feet in from south window.
Temp: 18-35C (winter lows at 18C)
Watering: wet in summer (when growing) and dryer in winter (at rest, don't let dry out too long). I use only RO water.
Secret: high humidity in summer, feed well when growing (MSU, kelp, fish emulsion alternate and flush at 4 watering)
I'm interested to know other's culture for this species?

Keeping it over 8 years in good condition is a masterpiece, as it is not an easy grower.

Very nice!!
I have 2 and can attest to the fact that they are a bit trickier than most. Good job with it!

Thanks Katrina and Leafmite.
In addition to this one, I have a second dormaniana semi-alba in bud!!! Can't wait to see its first bloom after 8 years!
