Cattleya Pinata Surprise 'Maplewood'
Got this one via Ebay during my 'spotted Cattleya' phase, as a large seedling in January 2014. It reached blooming size this year, and produced a spike with 5 flowers.
With spotting evenly distributed, I sent it to AOS judging. They did not nominate it, in part since it is a young plant. Based on parentage it could conceivably produce 8-10 flowers, so I will try again when it is a mature plant in a couple of years.
Photo was taken just before flowers faded, so they are a bit beat up.
