Default Cattleya Tropical Pointer in bloom

Another of my favorites But, it's turning into a monster! It looked like a 'mini Catt' when I got this 3 years ago (approx 3" pbulbs), but the newest pbulbs are 6"! On the plus side, the blooms are also much bigger now (3.75") with better color and spotting. It has a very nice, sweet floral fragrance.

This year, I got two different colored flowers. After blooms on the first spike opened (the pink ones), it didn't fit on the windowsill, so it got moved to the (quite dark) bathroom where buds on the other spike were still developing; those turned out yellow. Blooms on the first spike were pinker initially, but are fading, and will become a pale yellow with time (normal for this hybrid).

(last pic is how this plant looked when I got it in June, 2012 to show how much bigger it is now, and flower improvement, tho even on its next blooming, flowers were comparable to now)

Thanks for looking

This is one of the few hybrids I care to own. Is yours 'Cheetah' or another clone?

I have a 'Cheetah' but it is still young and hasn't bloomed yet. Probably next year.

I think it's 'Cheetah', but can't say positively - tag got accidentally tossed with the old media
