Cattleya mendelii 'Isurviveacanadianwinter'
Once again, I purchased in bloom yet another fantastic cattleya division from John Marcotte of Hamilton, Canada. This mendelii had gone through a rough winter but made it through to bloom successfully under John's meticulous care. I hope you all enjoy the flowers of this species as much as I do (in particularly the contrasting white tube of the lip against the rosy pink petals!)

VS = 14 cm

Yes Matt, the oblong lip is similar to the jenmanii lips, which is my favorite cattleya species.
Hehe I thought the clonal name is appropriate lol
