I have a multi growth flowering size Catt. nobilior that will not bloom for me. I grow it along side with my walkerianas and they bloom regularly.
This season it pushed out two new growths, but no blooms. I have noticed at the base of the new pseudobulbs there are sharp looking nubs sticking out (while new growths were almost mature) ... Could that be the start of a spike? or just dormant eyes. I grow them 8 inches from an 8 bulb t5 fixture, intermediate in winter, warm in summer. Roots are great, and water as needed.
does anyone have a secret to blooming these beauties?

cloudy out dark pics... but the new bifoliate leafs have a purple tan.

Its too early to tell what that new growth could be, but your plant looks VERY healthy!! This one is definitely blooming size. How hard of a winter rest do you give it? Also, how much seasonal variability are giving this one with regards to light? These guys are well adapted to VERY hard winter rest, even more so than walkeriana.
