Does anybody have an idea of how long it takes for a C. luteola to bloom from the time the buds emerge?

No idea but I cannot wait to see pictures of the blooms. Is yours one of the fragrant luteolas? I have two and am hoping that at least one will be.

I am not sure. I got it in a society raffle. I thought the previous owner said it was fragrant, but I may just have imagined that. I will definitely let you know. It will be my first to bloom under my care. Hopefully it smells pleasant. I've read and heard they smell like linoleum, soap, etc.

Mine usually takes about a month from first seeing buds to flower.

Thanks Joann. Hopefully these will pop open in about three weeks then. I didn't even know they were there. Three of the bulbs have dried up spikes on them and the other three look like they had died. Surprise! I'll be sure to post pictures once they open.
