Mymecatavola Tiger Lily aka 'The Weed'

This plant was divided none too gently from the mother in late August or early September.

I was there. I watched. I winced. There was twisting and tearing and just about hacking. I worried the trauma would make the plant have a hard time establishing with fall moving in.

Guess not. It had a young lead, which put out roots, matured, spiked. Flowered! I wish I handled trauma this gracefully

Most the chids with Richard Mueller in their background seem to be very forgiving of division.

Thank you all! I was already very fond of this one, but its scrappiness after such an ordeal completely won me over

Brassavola & yes! It changes to a great orange.
