How easy is this species to grow? I do like the compact growth habit.

IMO, it's very easy to grow. It likes light, it's adaptable to a variety of temperatures. Your watering would depend on how you are growing it, mine is mounted so it's getting watered most days because it's positioned in a sunny spot outside.
