Well done! New Catt owner myself but I can appreciate your efforts especially with regards to what others have said about growing this. Sounds like you've found a little bit of magic in your Orchid thumb!

Thank you! I think it may have been a case of beginners luck. I guess I'll wait and see if anything else blooms for me. The mounting job was done by Andy's Orchids so I can't take credit for that.

Outstanding and congratulations on your success., Nice photos too.

I have not had much success with this orchid. It's alive, but not thriving and has never bloomed. I brought it back from Peru several years ago. (proper cites permits)

I became obsessed with this plant when I first saw it on the cover of AOS magazine. It took me years to find one. I don't have a greenhouse so I grow it on my balcony. At night and when it's cold I carry it inside and put lights on it. In the winter I give it lots of sun.
