Encyclia adenocaula Male
Default Encyclia adenocaula

Enc. adenocaula is former Epidendrum nemorale, a species from open woodlands in western Mexico. My plant is potted in coarse bark and stands close to the glass. After a long winter rest now the bulb of the last year flowers with a branched stem. The following growing season should be short and intense. I feel that very bright light is more important for flowering success than temperature or complete dryness. In fact, when I watered the plant got some water throughout the year.
