Cattleya maxima flowers

Cattleya maxima is a wonderful plant and has flowered well again. Beautiful to look and is a great classic catt.

Is this an upland type?
How does it smell like?
I read there is a lowland and an upland type and they have difference in height of pseudobulbs.

Lowland types can be very tall and are probably the reason for the name "maxima." The highland types are much shorter and mine grows very well under lights.

The lines or veining on the lip is amazing. I find I am drawn to stripes and dots more than solid colors. Very beautimous!
