BLC Cherry Suisse 'Kauai' HCC/AOS in bloom
Finally in bloom again for me!
This is a dull shot of the flowers, which are very satiny in person at the right light.
I got this plant while visiting Kawamoto nursery last October. They had hundreds of these growing outside and some were in bloom and some were not.
I picked the one I liked the best.
The poor thing lost flowers upon my return. It grew and grew with sheath every time ( 6 leads since last fall) but never flowered. but the latest lead gave me two flowers finally in almost a year!
It has a nice fragrance but not too strong.
Hopefully, from now on, it will bloom more often. will see.

Nice!
One of the members of my OS developed the 'Peggy' clone of this grex. The fragrance is outstanding. Enjoy yours!

Wow, for me the proportions are perfect. Long, pointy sepals. A very nice flower. And it smells good too? What more could you want in an orchid

what a beauty!! love the reds!! I have found that frequently when orchids move from Hawaii to the states they lose a blooming season in adjusting....nothing to worry about...great job!

That is a gorgeous flower. I love the bright festive color and form. The leaves are pristine with the right color....it means you are giving it the right light.

Ok, it is rather dark today, but as the sun got out for a short while in the early afternoon, the fragrance got much stronger that I could smell it a few feet away from the plant.
