I can't believe how big catts can be until i bought my first one and i was like wow!!. That cattleya is breath taking! their beauty is undeniable. too bad most of them only flower once a year.. but when they do, it's a party! I try to get other kinds of orchids but i keep coming back to cattleyas and phals..

I love them, very fancy and fragrant, but I wish they bloomed more often or lasted longer.

I know I did the same thing, I just got one and I knew they could be big but holly cow I'm not sure how I will do re-potting this thing.

All the flowers are now fading.
It has been in my place for less than a week.
but I bought it in bloom, so who knows how long it has been open. or it could have been the shipping trauma.

Anyhow, now I will unpot this monster and see if it is one big chunk or two plants stuck in one pot.
Either case, I am going to keep one half.

I am sorry that it finished blooming so quickly. It is always nice to enjoy the blooms for awhile
