C. intermedia? Male
Default C. intermedia?

The plant was labeled as C. intermedia while i purchased. Now, it is the first time it blooms. I have never seen a C. intermedia like that. The color is pale with mild pink. It looks quite different from common varieties.

it must be a variation of the alba....the form is definite but the color seems a cross between the regular color and the alba....notice that the lip has remnants of the fuschia that the regular plant have

I don't know well about this highly variable species, but this link may be interesting (2nd link has info about color var):

there are so many variations of intermedia I think this one is c. intermedia var amethystina...nearly white flowers with pink midlobes.

var parthenia has almost pure white flowers with purple midlobe

var alba has pure white flowers with white midlobe

Very nice pheli you are a master

Thanks for the imformation. The background color is not pure white but has some pink pigmentation. Therefore, it seems to be a inter-clone hybrid.

Very delicate coloring. Nice change from some of the more standard colors.

It is not an inter-clone hybrid. It is a variation of the specie. Observe the next time it blooms it will look like the second page link of Naoki. Maintain your tag it is correct.
