How large does a catt loddigesii have to be to flower? I ended up with a seedling at some stage that is growing well, but not flowering. I don't think it's light and culture related, and suspect it's just not big enough yet, but I have no idea how large they're actually supposed to be before one can hope for blossoms.

It's beautiful.

Question: Is this a species instead of a hybrid? For some reason I find the 'original' orchids so much more fascinating than the hybrids which, are, well...'fake' imo

yes it is a species,

and i agree, species are imho far more interesting for me than hybrids.

hybrids are more showy, yes, but they lack the botanical value you can find within the species.

loddigesi coerulea is a nice rare form/ but i see it more pink than true coerulia on the second pic, the first shows more coerulea but i bet that the real thing looks more bluish? might be the light ? or probably the camera did not capture the bluish tone?

thanks for sharing

Cheers
Antonio.
