I got this plant in bud last fall.
It had such a loooong rest that I almost dumped it out thinking something went wrong with the plant.

Well, a new growth sprouted late spring and grew at an alarming speed. and now in bloom again!

The new growth had rather smallish leaves. Also I had grown this one foot away from the window so I didn't expect much out of the plant.
The grower told me this plant needs light brighter than any cattleya. maybe it was not so true.

Well, when I saw a few (not just one) little buds emerging without sheath last month, I was really excited.

All four flowers are open this week. It had four flowers when I bought it last year so I feel proud.

The flowers are smaller and overall skinnier in shape, but I find them pretty enough to enjoy.

Now I am waiting for the fragrance to kick in.

It's gorgous! You did a great job and the leaves that I can see look so pristine also!

Thank you, everyone!

I'm glad you all enjoy!

Here is another shot I took in the afternoon light.

Oh, and the amazing fragrance was there this morning.
