Brassavola nodosa
it was quite dry in my apt so I wonder if that is the cause of the damage on the lip, but it is very floriferous and smells strongly something in between cinnamon and allspice/pimenta leaves…
Anyway seems very floriferous, more spikes coming, like every new growth has a spike. sepals are definitely green. No name. does it remind of any known cultivars?
the bottle in the photo for scale is in front of the pot so the plant looks a bit smaller than it actually is.

Looks beautiful! My Little Stars is perfuming our home every night...the nodosa has just been busy growing. No idea on a name...mine is just labled 'nodosa', too. Nice pictures!

thanks - I have a Little Stars, no blooms yet (leaves are smaller). I have a Bl Yellow Bird (just one bud that blasted) and a Bc Kosh Wallace (or Wallis?) that keep growing but the pure species of B. nodosa is more vigorous and floriferous than the hybrids...

Stefano and Leafmite,
I also have a Little Star. I got it at the society meeting auction in December. It came with tons of flowers. I believe it was a donation from a Hawaiian grower.
Now I see two new leads about to start.
I know this one needs a lot of light and it is sitting by the south window.
How much light (duration and intensity) do you give to yours? and watering (I guess similar to cattleyas) and everything else I need to know.
Thanks in advance!

I give my Brassavola Little Stars 'Yasuji Takaeki' the same light as I give my cattleyas. Outside, the leaves get some reddish splotching. I have the two brassavolas mounted. Very easy, very rewarding. I absolutely love mine.
