Me too, I could rename it "takin forever". I will post pictures as it opens.
I am so sad. I just discovered that another of my catts. just blasted all three buds. One was partially open

Oh no, sorry to hear that. That sounds fishy to me. I think you have a case of Thrips, and you may need to spray your orchids. Catts are very hardy and really don't blast at such a late stage in the bloom development just like that. You should follow a monthly spray regimen rotating to a different insecticide ever few months.
