Chadwick's book says that this species has small flowers. For me, this plant produces flowers that are about 6 inches across which I consider large compared to the other Cattleya species I grow.

Beautiful orchid and photography! Maybe some good breeding has led to an improved speciman? Six inches seems impressive to me.

Wow, great work with this one! It looks very well grown. It looks like it is growing in spag. Is this true? Also, are you growing under lights or in a greenhouse?

Yes, it's in sphagnum in a clay pot. I grow indoors under lights (LED).
