Wow, the fact that it smells of anise makes me want to get one right here and right now! Very nice.

Mauro, would you mind posting a couple of pictures of one or more of your Cattleya nobilior plants, please? Although the flowers are beautiful, I'm trying to get an idea of what the actual plant itself looks like (or should look like). I would imagine (perhaps incorrectly) that nobilior bears a close resemblance to walkeriana. But never having seen a plant of nobilior firsthand, I'd like to see what a more experienced grower's plants look like. Thank you!!!

Stunning Mauro!
Better make room for me too. Note to self: Buy new wardrobe for on-going orchid party in Brazil. Yippee Cowyeah!

You are on the right track, Steve, walkeriana and nobilior are very similar, except that most of times the latter has two leaves instead of one. I am posting some pictures of the vegetative parts tomorrow.

Here she is, Judi, this is my Gran. She is older now, but still a lovely lady.

A lovely lady & a lovely orchid!
I have a young C nobilior that I will pay more attention to, now that I have seen your beauty, and know the scent to expect. Unfortunately I have no clue as to it's lineage.
