C. Tiffin Bells 'Orchidglade' AM/AOS
Received this plant from the late Ken Girard's collection. It has never flowered or formed a flower sheath despite having 21 pseudobulbs!
I noticed a small growth in the leaf axis and here is what we've got. I am very excited for the first flowering of this very mature plant.

Not enough light? Heat? Too high a nitrogen vs potassium/phosphorus ratio at the wrong time? 21 pbulbs and I'd bet light and ratio. Please keep posting pics of it's progress.

Bud, it's in an plastic 8" pan pot. A typical leaf and pseudobulb is 12" total and the total plant size from tip to tip is 30". After this flowering it is definately getting a repot.
James, its a tough one to pin point. Ken had a sizable collection and I assumed it was housed in a greenhouse. With me it is growing warm and bright, ample watering in the last year. I have had it since 2007 I think. Was beginning to think it was simply a non bloomer.

Congrats! Hopefully it will keep on blooming every year now that it has figured the whole blooming thing out! Can't wait to see the flowers!
