Default Epicatanthe Volcano Trick 'Fireball'

Seems a few other members have this one - mine's being a late bloomer Four spikes - two nice sized ones, two very small ones.

The small ones, one just has the one bloom open so far, the other none yet.

This has been a reliable bloomer for me, and quite undemanding.

Small blooms, but nice clusters of them - and the colors are fabulous!

Thanks for looking

Beautiful colors! I love this cross. The flowers look like they were painted by an abstract artist. Mine has grown and bloomed well also. In fact it tried to bloom twice last year but the second time the buds failed. Your's is gorgeous! Good growing.

Thanks Bud - "Festive" is a good description! I actually came across this one a few years ago on ebay - was just browsing random orchids, I first didn't look at it, because the little thumbnail pic (ebay didn't have the enlarge feature on the lists at the time) didn't look like anything special. I don't know why, but I went back and looked at the actual auction with the bigger pic, and was totally in love with the little brightly colored blooms - look like tiny Catt blooms.

Thanks tucker! Yes, I remember seeing yours, probably both earlier this year, as well as last year. The first year (12 month period) I had mine, it bloomed three times! That seems to have been an anomaly tho - as it's only bloomed once a year since.

I'm really happy I got this plant - been undemanding and reliable, plus it's so cheery looking!
