Hi Steve, it has bloomed 3 x before, its a divison. Probalby doesnt look big because the growth with the flower went straight out sideways before I knew it was there. I think maybe I've pulled the panic button and said it will be short lived....it may not, I will advise when its done. The flowers are just so much thinner...or more delicate than what I'm used to blooming...if that makes sense.
Really pretty bloom, Brenda. The flowers will last longer if you can manage to keep the plant a bit cooler and out of direct sunshine (although the fragrance will be stronger when the blooms have been warmed up by the sun). The flowers on my gaskelliana usually last a few weeks on the plant; although they appear delicate and the texture isn't heavy, they're surprisingly resilient. How do you like the scent? Good, yes? Congratulations on the flower. It's beautiful.
Steve
Flower is still holding up quite well, so it should be around for another week,or so. Noticed a very nice strong scent whe the sun was on it today. Thanks for the info.
Hi, very beautiful plant.
I think u can fell its frangance more strong by the morning, and if you water the plant the scent will not be as strong as it could be if the media its dry.
Thanks for posting.
