Default Rhyncattleanthe (Tangerine Horses x Carolina Golden D'Or)

This morning I noticed that 1 of the 2 dried sheaths was sort of folded over. I decided to try and straighten it, but when I grabbed it I noticed there was a growth inside! Spike!!! It's my first time to bloom a standard type cattleya, so I am very excited. Especially since I just repotted it a month or two ago, so I was kind of expecting it to sulk for a while before blooming. But nope, it's spikin! I will update with pictures once the blooms are here.

Congratulations, Gage. Be sure to post pictures. I learned my lesson several years ago when I cut an old dry sheath off one of my catts and found that I had cut off four buds along with it.

Ok, we now have a single bud creeping out of the sheath. Not surprising, since it was repotted not too long ago, but a bud nonetheless!
